Cyclamen

With its marbled, heart-shaped leaves and vibrantly-colored petals that liken a butterfly, Cyclamen is a popular winter houseplant. Available in a variety of sizes, they make a beautiful gift which will provide the recipient with weeks of bright color! The keys to prolonging their bloom period are cool temperatures and a moist soil. Cyclamens prefer temperatures between 50 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit with bright, indirect light. They prefer moist soils, but do not tolerate wet soils. If the soil surface is dry to the touch, then water thoroughly. If the soil is still moist, wait and check again the following day. Subirrigation is recommended.
